Marathon Sewing

With a 3-day weekend, the drive to finish up the baby quilt is strong within me.   I had the top assembled yesterday morning...

...and pieced the backing in the afternoon.

I only had so much of the green solid and needed to save some for binding, so I used the leftover blocks and two strips of the leaf fabrics.    This is the Year of the Stash!

  7. This looks so good! I've been pondering your last post about the willingness to abandon (temporarily) the previous project for this baby quilt. I don't have any real answers, but sometimes a project has that "magic" ability to excite. Is it the color scheme? The challenge? The fun? Who knows. I just enjoy it.

  8. Such a fun, bright baby quilt, Freda. And "Year of the Stash" or not, that is a great backing. Good job!

  9. Cutest quilt back EVER. And the front is darling. Love D9P. Although I've been doing a lot of D4P lately in 2 color or random - they go together so quickly and are great stash-busters, too.

  11. Wow, I'm impressed. The quilt looks great. I've just started sewing my blocks together and haven't cut yet. You will have that quilt finished before mine is even together. You are quick! Great backing and good use of your stash too! I love it.
