Saturday Night Sew In

Since I was a bit under the weather for the February FNSI, I staged a Saturday night sew-in to catch up on my sewing.

Two movies later, the binding on one long side, one short side, and about 3/4ths of the second long side are sewn down.

The plan is to finish sewing the binding down today, get the quilt washed and all soft and crinkly, wrap and package it up so it can go out in the mail tomorrow....  that is if the "trace" of snow that is forecast doesn't turn into a major snow storm!

We've seen nary a snowflake all winter.... so we are a bit excited about the possibility of getting snow...

  1. No snow down my way just lots and lots of rain! Good luck finishing up the binding...nice day for cuddling up under a quilt even if it is to sew on binding!

  2. Snow! I hope it happens for you. The red quilt tuned out so neat, I like that you chose the writing print on the back. (It's "Hometown", right?)

  5. Watching/listening to the tv is the best place to sew binding on, it seems to make it go faster. The quilt's recipient is going to really love that quilt, it's lovely.

I always think snow looks nice but when I think about it, it can't really be nice unless you are inside and nice and warm.

  7. I've been having my own Sew-Ins, too! This is a great quilt!

And I'm a little behind the times, here, but TWC showed the Mid-Atlantic getting a ton of snow! No fair to get that much without getting a Snow Day from school, too. :)

  9. So glad you got to make up for Friday night's work. We keep waiting for the big snow to hit here in southwest Ohio and I'm hoping it never comes.

We just had a good dump of snow this weekend. Where are the sleigh bells when you need them?

  12. Love the quilt backing. We're now being threatened with a heatwave - believe it when it happens.
