Tuesday Ramblings

Pottered around the house yesterday and pinned the tumbler quilt sandwich.  Outside to water the garden bed, I also enjoyed one of my favorite daylilies... a volunteer that's a bit different from the regular orange ditch lilies... this one has a rosy/rusty tint...

I wish I had a zillion of 'em!

In other news, Marj of Eclectic Quilter is having a give-away to celebrate having over 100 followers.  Yea, Marj!  She is giving away a couple of very pretty, filled Knick Knack Sacks.

Don’t bother entering the give-away because I just KNOW I’m gonna win!   *lol*
Be sure to check out her flower BOMs… just gorgeous!

  1. I used to have hundreds of day lilies when I had a 100 year old Victorian house. Sometimes I would get some that were a deep maroon. The local nursery told me that they had reverted back to the wild version. (I don't if that is really correct, but they seemed to know what they were talking about.)

  2. Love your lily! I started a couple from my plants. I picked the seeds out of the seed pods! Make sure not to cut off the stems until they give up seeds, and I think they will make more plants from the bottom, too. Good luck!

  3. Whenever I see "ditch" tiger lilies, I think of taking walks with my mother after Sunday dinner. We'd pick some to bring home.
Your deeper-colored one is sooo pretty! I hope it multiplies for you :)

  4. Thanks for sharing the day lily, tis a fine specimen; I'm always reminded of my mother, and how she loved her day lily garden.
