Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!

I'm not sure what planet I was on but I'm going to blame it on the fact that my nephew (or his mother, my sister) did not send out college graduation announcements.  So...  I'm now officially BEHIND with the graduation quilt project.

So... any bets on just how quickly I can complete a throw-size tumbler quilt (including quilting it myself)? I do have the fabric but I have cut out not one single solitary tumbler.... and I'm gonna need over 700 of them puppies....

I'm gonna need some encouragement here...    cheering up, applause, etc. will be much welcome!

Thank you!

  2. Oh, I love it, all the fun in this post has me laughing! I'm cheering for you, um, do you have access to a Go! cutter? That would help with those tumblers...other than that, I've seen what you can do in a week's time you'll do it....

Well, I'm of no help in direction (not even knowing what a tumbler is) but I'm pulling for you! ~Or, you could wait until he gets married to give a quilt...

  5. After the way you whipped out that last quilt, I have not problem believing you can get this one done in a jiffy... however long that is ;-)

  6. The length of time it takes for you to finish this quilt depends on how many other things get in your way. Like work, eating, sleeping, and all that other stuff that we all need to do.lol I will be cheering for you! The GO! cutter sounds like a good idea if you know someone to borrow it from.

  7. Maybe you can just have it finished in time for him to go off to college? That gives you a couple of months!

  8. Oh honey you need a Go Cutter tumbler die. It will cut those babies in no time. Or do you have someone near by that can you help you cut? If I were closer I would run right over!

  9. Does it have to be a tumbler? Try that new quilt made with a jelly roll. It's fast, and no fabric cutting, unless you are going to cut your own jelly roll. You could be done with the front in less than an hour if you put the pedal to the metal. Come on by my blog, and I'll try to post the address for the directions and a video on how to do it.

  10. I'm certain your nephew will be happy to wait a little longer for a quilt hand made by his aunt. You're fast, and the tumbler pattern is simple, but also very cool.
