Civil War Block 33: Indiana Puzzle

With a house-full last weekend followed by work this week... I'm late getting this block finished.

After dressmaking for more years than I care to count, the curved seams weren't as hard as I built them up to be.

I need to do some cleaning up/clearing off in my sewing room today and tackle a couple of WIPs...

  1. Excellent job on this block. I agree on the curved seams. I avoided them for years. When I finally took the plunge I wondered what all the fuss was about. No worse than setting in a sleeve--easier, in fact!

  2. Great block and the fabrics just make it. I found that it was a gentle curve and went in O.K. Tomorrow another block, we are moving right along.

  5. Excellent job on the curves! Curves were my week point when making my clothes. That and gathers :(
I'm enjoying your block making process, but looking forward to seeing the quilt.

  6. The rounded curves look tricky to me to...but all of quilting does at this point beyond straight seams. Enjoy your weekend and family.
