A Holiday Finish

It's been a long time since I finished a quilt so it was nice to pull this from the dryer last night and say:  "Done!"

I quilted a small loopy line in the red sashing...

....and an even larger loopy line around the outside border.

The quilting didn't look too bad before washing and it looked great (imho) after it was washed and dried.

I got the idea for this quilt from a tutorial by Missouri Star Quilt CompanyThe finished quilt is about 57" square and is now draped over the back of the sofa in the living room.

  5. What a pretty quilt! I really like it. I also LOVE that feeling of taking one out of the dryer. I must say that your quilting is awesome. The loopy lines are great. I'm going to try doing that the next time I want a little something different in the borders.

  6. Your quilt is beautiful! And thanks for the link! It's a really easy pattern, but looks so much more involved! And yeah, I really love a quilt AFTER it's been crinkled up in the dryer! Then it looks and feels more homey!
