Sewing ER

Sometimes, grandmothers are called upon to perform emergency services...

I am happy to report the patient survived....

...and his mother is happy to have him home!

  1. Glad no pandas were harmed in the making of this post. I've performed similar surgeries numerous times.

  4. I have learned to always have my sewing kit with me when I am with Bella. She usually has a friend or two each week that needs ER care. When Bella and I were talking about jobs people have, she described my jobs as making quilts and fixing things. Funny.

  6. Oh my, we have a regular stuffed animal ER at my house. I usually wait for several patients before I buckle down and do it.

I love love love your profile picture - that is one of my favorite Maxfield Parrish paintings. I would love to do a quilt for my husband in all those blues. Maxfield Parrish is one of his favorite artists.

  8. Grandmas are good at stuffed animal surgery. I've mended a stuffed pig called Oinkers numerous times. I remember that Nancy book very well.
