How sweet! I used to have a friend who made her children eat ice cream or popsicles while sitting in the bathtub! That takes all the fun away, I think! The ice cream mustache is part of childhood.
I had my first cone of the season yesterday for lunch. It was wonderful. You are so right in a cone is so much better. The very best part of yesterdays treat was that i didn't get any on my shirt. Selina
I had a giant five cent cone with my Grandpa who died when I was 5. And I've had Grandma Camp here once for each of 3 of my 7 grands. What wonderful memories you dug up for me. Thank you so much, Empress. I love your blog!
You could write a book on the greater truths of ice cream!! ; )
ReplyDeleteIt's much tastier when you can lick of your fingers afterwards and when your grandma wipes of your face.....
ReplyDeleteThey are enjoying those cones! I'll bet they say that you're the bestest grandma :)
ReplyDeleteI still subscribe to the "wipe hands on clothes" technique.

It defies explanation but you are so right, ice cream always tastes better from a cone. And not just for kids either.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having fun with your grandchildren visiting.
There is just something about ANY treat at Grandma's house. :)
ReplyDeleteYummy! Sticky fingers which I am sure Grandma cleaned up.
ReplyDeleteWe have been eating "Brown Mules" which is ice cream on a stick, but I just might need to buy some cones next time.
Camp Grandma looks like the best camp to me!! :-)
