I was able to finish the quilt top before I left to attend a meeting. Taking the top with me, I went from the meeting to my LQS for the backing (kiwi/avocado-ish), binding, and quilting thread.
I was able to get the back pieced and the sandwich made. Just need to pin baste...
Accompanied by major thunder-boomers, the bottom fell out and made photo taking difficult as always...
The colors are difficult to photograph correctly but think: blue-greens, turquoise, soft yellow and copper. Here's a photo I found online of the Bali Pop "Green Tea" colorway.
I have another meeting in the morning but hope to start quilting around noon.
This is a beautiful batik collection! Your jelly roll quilt is wonderful and the backing and binding is perfect. The family is going to love their quilt! So kind to think of this quilt when they lost so much.

ReplyDeleteHow terrible that must be when you come home from vacation and everything has burned down and there's notting left. But how good it is when you have friends an coworkers who will help you. Freda you are going a great job by helping them. And the quilt... well its perfect, like always :o)
