I was supposed to sew Friday night but, after putting up 11 pints of peach jam (and cleaning up after)...
...about all I had the energy to do was wash and dry the jelly roll quilt.
As usual, I tossed two color catchers into the wash and bet myself that the copper color would be the "runner"... I was wrong. It was the green....
I have the quilt ready to go... and will take it to Chip and his family this afternoon.
Those colour catchers seem like a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI wonder how the colors will run when I wash that big batik quilt. did your color catchers get it all?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful peach jam! Yum. They will LOVE this quilt, Freda.
ReplyDeleteI like your new look Freda, great job on your blog!
ReplyDeleteI know what work it is to put up jam, but , oh, it is so worth it.
Your quilt is so cool, what a blessing ~

Color catchers are the best--------only second to your lovely quilt. Love your new header and layout.
ReplyDeleteAll the pretty jars ready to eat throughout the winter:) Chip and his family are going to treasure their new quilt for many years that's my take on it anyway;)
ReplyDeleteThose color catchers are better than sliced bread. Peaches look yummy. Put your feet for a fast 10, you earned it.
ReplyDeleteYou've been very industrious! I love the way the quilting turned out on the jelly roll quilt.
ReplyDeleteJam and a jelly roll--sounds divine!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt turned out lovely. I'm sure the recipients will be very touched by your thoughtfulness.
I've done a lot of canning and, yes, the cleanup is the worst part of it.
