A long week of long days doesn't make for a lot of "bright-eyed and bushy-tailed" come Friday evening... but I did get some sewing done before I was just too tired...
I got one 4-block unit and four 2-block units sewn together. The blocks are on a double bed so you can get some idea just how big this quilt is going to be.
It's going to be a fun day... a couple of friends and I are going to do a little local shop hopping...
...and have lunch out... then return here for an afternoon of sewing!
Good company, good food, and fabric therapy! What could be better?
Yes, you have a wonderful day on tap!!! The JL blocks are looking so nice. I was REALLY tired last night too, so I know exactly how you felt.
ReplyDeleteYou going on the NC shop hop adventure? I went to one shop yesterday but didn't actually buy a passport. Trying decide if I'll venture out. There are 3 more with a 20 min radius of my house Hope you had fun!!

ReplyDeleteGreat blocks. How many will you need for the quilt?
ReplyDeleteAre you doing the Quilt! Carolina Hop? I did seven stores yesterday. Just need to decide if I want to commit to driving to Fayetteville (would visit the one in Fuquay Varina on the way) next weekend or go ahead and turn in the passport.
Cheers, K
The blocks look great. I just had a reply note from Bonnie Hunter. I send her photos of my complete florabunda and thank you for her tuts. She's such a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteEven though you were tired, it looks like you got all of these blocks sewn together facing the right direction. Good job. I may not have done as well while fighting fatigue. Probably would have had to unpick half of them.
