Happy Birthday to Me!


Saturday is my birthday...  it's one of those birthdays that has a zero in the one's place! 

My sisters are driving down from Virginia today ...


...along with one of my nieces for the weekend and my daughter, SIL, and 2 granddaughters arrive Friday around noon. 
 
Nothing major planned except hanging out and having a good time... my favorite way to celebrate just about anything.
 
  
Paula of The Quilter recently posted about the upcoming PBS 9-part series Why Quilts Matter:  Art, Quilts, & Politics that will be airing in September and October.

I don't watch TV... why is a story for another day... so watching the series on PBS isn't an option.  The trailer was intriguing...





...so, I ordered the DVD of the series for my very own!



Now I can watch it whenever I want and as often as I like!   Happy birthday to me!



I wanted to pass along the information about this neat series in case you wanted to check it out... or ask for the DVD as a present!

    Thought I'd pop over and wish you a happy birthday. It is sculpture show weekend and I'll be putting in long, long days so I'll probably just come home and pass out on the sofa with no sewing or computer time.
