This was my first attempt at Y-seams...
I have no, zip, nada, nary a piece of chrome yellow or cheddar or even mustard 1800s reproduction fabric. I've been assured I will grow to like these colors but I'm reserving judgment.
I did find a nice sized piece of a crackle-paint gold fabric in one of my scrap bins and I think that worked out pretty well.
Very nice! And that crackle-paint gold reminds me of a flame in a bowl.
ReplyDeleteWell done!!
ReplyDeleteI have never attempted a y-seam. Your block looks great!
ReplyDeleteI reiterate: I done flunked basic math in college.
ReplyDeleteGood job on your first y seam. Your block looks great.
ReplyDeleteYou stinker you. I'm still gearing up to try this one. Any hints on how to make it easier. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI skirt around the y-seam issue at all costs. When I grow up I am going to be a real quilter and do the tricky stuff. : )
ReplyDeleteThe yellow looks good.
I see that you did well on the y- seam.
ReplyDeleteGreetings..
