Is There a Computer Guru in the House?

I did something to my computer and I'm not sure what.

I got a new wireless mouse (long story) and got it set up.  Works great.... so I go to my blog, do something (not sure what) but I rolled the wheel and the layout, font, photos, everything... even the Blogger stuff on the page... got smaller.

I checked my blog at work today and everything is "normal" size.  When I visit other blogs OR go to Blogger pages....  New Post, Stats, etc.....   everything is the right size.

I tried searching for info on Windows 7 (OS), Firefox Mozilla (browser), and generic computer terms....  I've right-clicked/left-clicked and rolled the wheel thing to no avail.  For $38, I can get an online expert to tell me how to fix it.... but I just filled up my car.....

I know it's not the end of the world but I would like to have the font & photos to be normal size.

Anyone have any ideas?

Y'all are just THE BEST!  Not only is my blog page back to normal size.... I learned a bunch of new computer tricks!

  1. I use a MAC, so I'm no good with Windows. Sorry. Surely someone will know!?!

  2. You probably already did this, but go under tools and check the percentage. When my dh uses my computer somehow the percentage gets changed from 100% to a lower number. Drove me crazy for a little while there. Computers drive me crazy sometimes the way they change themselves while you are not looking. :o)

  4. Try holding down the 'ctrl' button and clicking on the button at the top which has the two hyphens on it (next to 0 on my UK keyboard). One click at a time untill the text is the correct size.
(You can make the text etc larger by using 'ctrl' and clicking on the +/= button)

    Hope this works for you.

  5. Hold down the "CTRL" key while pressing the + key, until you're satisfied with the size of the text and photos. This will enlarge everything on the page. If you go too far and things are TOO BIG, hold down the "CTRL" key and press - key (minus key). That should do ya!

  6. I think they have solved your problem. I sometimes make our computer do the hiccup thing and realized that I was pressing down on the scroll wheel while scrolling...It causes things to drift. And hitting the control key without meaning too can send my computer into a deep pit of print problems. Good luck

  7. I've found that at times blogger just does bizarre things with type size for no reason. I'll go back a few days later and it's okay. Freaky. We get what we pay for.....

  8. When we got this new laptop (Samsung) I had all kinds of trouble while typing, because of the "touch pad". It was like my computer was possessed. I had to actually look at the instructions!!! to find out that you need to turn off the touch pad in order to use the keyboard, or type using the hunt and peck method. (On this computer it is FN F10). Hope this helps you out...
    Hugs!

  9. I'm reading this too late to offer any thoughts, it looks as if you have it sorted now. I learnt a couple of things reading the comments as well, who knew that you could press down on the scroll wheel while scrolling, I didn't that's for sure, very handy to know that.
