Also Back from the LAQ

Yes... I'll be doing binding for a while...

...only "issue" is that I don't have quite enough of the border fabric to do the binding.  I do have a similar amount of the purple inner border... so I may have to have a pieced binding.

I like this "fan" pantograph a lot.

Yup, a lot of binding will be happening this weekend... but I hope to cross both quilts off my UFO list!

  1. I love those colors and I still have some of that fabric. If you are not missing by much I could send you some of either color.

  3. Absolutely wonderful, Freda!! Love the colors! A pieced binding would be great - draw several of the quilt colors together!! Like the quilting pattern too!! Very impressive you have been - I've been busy - just can't show anything yet!!

    Have a great "binding" weekend!!

  4. Wow! That's a lot of binding! Do you do the back side by hand? Beautiful quilts. By the way, if you need to clean out some space at your house, you can send either one to me....

  5. That is just plain pretty! I have been thinking about you all week -- my Bernina has been in the shop for a month and half. I finally had to turn into something of a nag, but hopes are high that I will be picking it up this afternoon. The hold up was waiting for parts. Sound familiar? Congratulations on your big finishes!

  7. Another beauty! I have a stash of those fabrics, too, but alas, not the colorway you used in your border, or I would send some your way.
That is a cute panto--I've never seen that one before.

  9. Both the quilts turned out great, I usually do the binding at night while watching tv, and just try and do a reasonable amount, it doesn't take long and its all done. The pantograph looks good, one could even attempt a similar pattern with FMQ.

  10. A purple beauty! I adore your choice of quilting pattern, it is spectacular! I'm a huge fan of fans! (My favorite Lomonosov china has blue fans on a white background.) Another one crossed off, you go!
