Veterans Day

Veterans Day, formerly Armistice Day, is an annual US holiday honoring military veterans.

A federal holiday that is observed on November 11th, Veterans Day coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and also mark the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I.

  1. Thanks for the reminders about Veterans Day.
I see you corrected my error on the Anne Morrow Lindbergh quotation. I should have remembered it was her--she is a favorite author. I just had a blank moment and remembered that it was an "aviatrix".
