A friend/coworker asked me to make a "candy corn" pillowcase dress similar to one she found on Pinterest.
Have you heard about Pinterest?
If you are crafty or enjoy cooking, you should visit for a couple of hours...
I understand it's addicting... so beware!
Courtney got the fabric and the ribbon and I made the candy corn costume yesterday.
One Halloween costume completed!
My DIL called yesterday morning and evidently my youngest grandson wants to be a skeleton for Halloween... and the skeleton suit has to be one-piece like the space suit I made him a number of years ago.
One Halloween costume completed... one more to go!
You go Grandma-------what cute costumes.

ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! Nice job on it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a 'tripping over feet' situation here on my way to JoAnns to pick up white, yellow and orange solid fabric to make E! that same dress!
ReplyDeleteThat candy-corn dress is adorable! Wonder if the little girl next door would like one....heck I want one but it would scare the trick-or-treaters....
ReplyDeleteThe dress is lovely, and she can still wear it after Halloween. I have looked at Pinterest but you're right, a couple of hours is gone before you know it, so I keep away.
ReplyDeleteDarling dress!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea! I have two little granddaughters, and they would look adorable in them....hmmm...may have to dig into my stash for some white, yellow and orange!
ReplyDeleteI was "invited" to join Pinterest, however, I have too many other online quilting addictions... Pretty soon I will just be looking at quilting rather than creating!
Such a cute dress--love this idea. You are one clever Empress!
ReplyDeleteThe candy corn costume is adorable! You are so sweet to make costumes on request. I bet you will enjoy the one for your grandson. He will always remember that his grandmother made his costume.
ReplyDeleteCute costume. Fortunately, I got out of making a mermaid costume when my granddaughter found a nice ballerina outfit to wear. I had no idea what to do about that tail!
ReplyDeleteJoAnn, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways!;)
ReplyDeleteI. Must. Make. Candy. Corn. Costume. It's the cutest!!!!!!!! I don't really decorate for Halloween inside the house, but I do set out some candy corn inspired thingies. And now I'm totally inspired! Something easy to do when I get home! (Tomorrow maybe!) And I love your sewing kitty, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is the sweetest little costume EVER!!!
