Placemats (pt 2)

This morning, the girls and I worked on a placemat top for their mother.  Emma drew a picture...

...then the girls rummaged in my scrap bins for fabrics.

Emma picked out all the thread for the machine applique.  I'm gonna convert those two to quilting, yes, I am!

  9. I love the placemats your GD's designed. Isn't fun teaching them something new. I've taught my 3 GD's to sew. But only one is interested in quilts. One is interested in fabric. Not sure what the other one is interested in....she's a teenager. lol I am enjoying your posts. Hugs

  10. I love these place mats! What a great grandma you are. They will remember doing this with you all their lives. I had a grandfather who taught me the joy of handiwork, and I am grateful to him everyday of my life. Cheers!
