Summer Star Blocks

For some reason, I am seem to be "forgetting" the hourglass project but these little stars are so much fun!

At this scale, threads look like ropes, don't they?

After completing the first red star, I decided that it would be easier to make all the center squares and then do all the outside pieces.

The center blocks are 2 1/2" and finish at 2"...  smallest blocks I've made before!

  1. I'm working on my third set of these stars tonight. My first set was made as they were posted and I did the reverse of what you have done here. I had all of my star points cut and assembled and was waiting for the centers each week. Aren't they fun?
