Cowabunga Floribunda!

I was doing quite well resisting Bonnie Hunter's post giving the instructions to duplicate the Jacob's Latter quilt she found in an antique shop in Florida.... which she named Floribunda.

Photo from Bonnie Hunter's website here.

I mean... what's not to like about this quilt?  So, I promised myself I would make one some day.

Then... one after another... folks started succumbing to the lure of this quilt and I began reading post after post about the Floribunda blocks being made.  I held out as long as I could... til I couldn't stand it any more....

Then there was the email offer of FREE SHIPPING from Hancock's of Paducah and I was doomed.

I will start working on the blocks this weekend...

  1. Welcome to the dark side (however dark your florals may be). It is always nice to see someone else succumb. : )
Or maybe I just should have told you sooner, "You will be assimilated!" (That reference will only have meaning if you ever watched Star Trek:The Next Generation.)

  4. I have a long list of "Bonnie made me do it" projects. It's the kind of stuff that keeps me up at night...like hexagons...

and I REALLY didn't need to know about that free shipping thing. Really really.

  9. Luckily (by the sound of it) this is my first encounter with Floribunda. The blue floral fabric is gorgeous - what is it?
