Practice, Practice, Practice

I have to say that I think my mitered corners are getting better… and these two mug rugs plus the two from yesterday will be a birthday present for my baby sister.  Also finding out how hard it is to do straight-line quilting... will need more practice with that before I feel good about how it turns out...

All these “finishes” certainly boosts one morale… I’ll be ready to tackle the pink & white quilt top this weekend.

Mitered Corners

Yesterday, I received a comment on the nicely mitered corners of the mug rug… I appreciated the compliment but was glad she was not able to examine the corners more closely.  Then, I thought… not only are mug rugs fun to make and put leftover bits of fabric to good use… I can practice mitered corners making them!

I practiced 8 mitered corners last night!   *grin*

I’m gonna get good at this some day!
