I've done the math... I'll need 154 blocks for a twin quilt/coverlet. I'm thinking 120 tiny houses, 30 trees, and.... 4 something. More houses? More trees? NO! I think we need a school for our village, yes?
♥LOVE♥ The little red schoolhouse! Can I just say, your village idea reminds me of my sweet mama. One Christmas, I helped her put out her enormous Lefton miniature village,(Juneville, named after herself ;-). From then on, she kept it up year round, just to enjoy it. The table took up 1/4 of the formal living room! Sweet memories. Imma hafta get busy making these!
Yes, a school is appropriate, especially on your quilt! I love the tree idea, too, being a Theresa and a tree lover. That's a lot of little blocks... but some quilts just keep you going. Hugs
Oh I love the school! Seeing all of your blocks inspired me to start a Pinterest board and start collecting all sorts of different house blocks. I've even got one printed out and ready to start choosing fabrics for it. I gave away most of my fabric scraps earlier this spring to a lady who was going to turn them into a charity quilt but I have a few scraps from recent projects to work with.
A school definitely and maybe a church? And a shop or two? Ooooh, a LQS! :oD
ReplyDeleteI think I love it! Great school--and a wonderful flag!!

What a creative mind you have. Maybe your town needs a store or church too. Love the addition of the flag.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely a LQS! Maybe you have a nice little stripe that can be bolts of fabric in the window!
ReplyDeleteThe school and flag are perfect for the village.
