Tiny Houses: The Project Begins
I got my printer/copier/scanner hooked up to my new laptop and down loaded the necessary driver. Then made a bunch of copies of the paper-piecing patterns from the Down in the Valley book. I was thankful that all the computer connections worked...
Next, I made my first tiny house using scraps from my Civil War quilt. I have lots of those!
It went faster than I thought it would. If I didn't have to stop and get ready to attend my 45th high school reunion, I would have made another tiny house block.
FYI - The block is 5" and finishes at 4.5".

This pattern book and project you have started strongly appeals to me. I will enjoy watching you make blocks and quilt.
ReplyDeleteHow cute.....this is going to be fun to watch you build the neighborhood. 45 years...oh my....time has crept up on us. Hope you enjoyed the reunion.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific start to the neighborhood. Hope the reunion was a wonderful trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeletevery cute. looking forward to seeing the neighborhood grow!
ReplyDeleteCute house. I'm in the market for a bigger house... but I'd buy that one. I'm going to enjoy watching you build your neighborhood.

The wee house looks great, Freda. I hope your reunion went well! :o)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun project. I'd pick making another house over going to a class reunion any day!! : )
ReplyDeleteOne down, ???? to go! It IS really cute! I have the same book ... another project for another day for me. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that you were able to attend your 45th reunion. I live 1200 miles or more from where I grew up, and time after time, the reunion is scheduled when I can't attend due to the beginning of the new school year. I'm hoping they are able to schedule our next one when I can manage to attend. Of course, at our reunions, many of those who live very close don't bother to attend. I'm hoping there will be enough lure to our 50th that we'll have more attendees--although we had only 58 in our graduating class! I hope you had a wonderful time at yours!
