Marathon Sewing
With a 3-day weekend, the drive to finish up the baby quilt is strong within me. I had the top assembled yesterday morning...
...and pieced the backing in the afternoon.
I only had so much of the green solid and needed to save some for binding, so I used the leftover blocks and two strips of the leaf fabrics. This is the Year of the Stash!

Love the front and the back! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt can be used on both sides, I love it Freda.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from the Netherlands,
Roos
It'a gorgeous, Freda. :o)
ReplyDeleteIt turned out really great! I love both the front and the back. Gotta love those 3 day weekends. :o)
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Another variation of D9P, the amazing little block.
ReplyDeleteWow that looks so good. Your backing design makes it so wonderful. Glad that machine is humming well.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of your stash and your time. Wonderful version of the D9P.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good! I've been pondering your last post about the willingness to abandon (temporarily) the previous project for this baby quilt. I don't have any real answers, but sometimes a project has that "magic" ability to excite. Is it the color scheme? The challenge? The fun? Who knows. I just enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun, bright baby quilt, Freda. And "Year of the Stash" or not, that is a great backing. Good job!
ReplyDeleteCutest quilt back EVER. And the front is darling. Love D9P. Although I've been doing a lot of D4P lately in 2 color or random - they go together so quickly and are great stash-busters, too.
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Keep going!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love what you did with the back, too!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm impressed. The quilt looks great. I've just started sewing my blocks together and haven't cut yet. You will have that quilt finished before mine is even together. You are quick! Great backing and good use of your stash too! I love it.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful quilt. I love your sense of color. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt! Especially the back.
ReplyDeleteI want to bust my scraps and stash this year, too.
You work so fast - it's great and I love using the scraps on the backing.
