Cutting Done...

...for now anyway!  I have cut 5" squares out of every single piece of 1800s repro fabrics I have in my stash...

I doubt I have 600 squares but I am tired of cutting and want to SEW.... and I will start this morning right after I get dolled up and have my coffee!

  1. Oh, you beautiful doll! : )
That was a lot of cutting. Time for something else--I agree!

  2. You need to give yourself a break from the cutting otherwise you will get RSI (or whatever they are calling it nowadays) I'm sure you are itching to get started sewing anyway.

  3. Yes Janet, doesn't Freda look lovely today.....
I'm sure you have enough squares to start all those hour glass blocks.

  4. You go girl! Jammies are the wardrobe of choice here this morning!

Next time I'm at a real quilt/fabric store I will check out those repros!

BTW, my local Walmart has redone its fabric department and I was amazed at how much pretty fabric they have now! They even brought back the embroidery/cross stitch section and sell the thread, etc. for that. At one time it appeared they were going to stop fabric and such altogether.

  6. Hey, Miss Cuttie Pie, I agree, after I have sewn an hour or so I take my shower and get dolled up, as you call it. Makes me feel better and then just maybe I'll sew better. I have resisted your hourglass quilt so far, but I am weakening. Looked for the outdated magazine at several places and then thought it was not meant to be I know I can order it but probably don't need directions with the good pictures you posted. I have quite a bit of repros left from our CW blocks and a good excuse to buy more. Will let you know. I need a big project after all this little stuff I have been sewing.

  9. At 6 AM, I always get dressed and ready for the day whether I'm sewing, doing housework or going out to lunch later. Goes back to all those years of working, I guess.
