If you did want to make some to sell and speed up the process a bit you could make a larger quilted piece and then cut it into sections. I've done that with landscape postcards and have seen others do it on even a larger scale with their postcards.
Yes, I agree with Mary, I've done that before with postcards too...it would speed up the process alot. I didn't comment on how much I think you should charge as I was just trying to skim the blogs I read and catch up...I think $10.00-15.00 is very reasonable and if they don't want to pay that, then I say, don't make any for them. People don't realize how much work and expense goes into making handmade objects. When I tell the girls at work how much something costs, they are amazed. Just because you are using small pieces doesn't mean the price is any smaller for you... Tell them to try to make it for what you charge and challenge them to go out and see if they could find everything they need to make it...They wouldn't do it! Your mug rugs are wonderful and I'm glad you are having a good time with them.
