Zipper Pouch / Bag, v.8

Oh yes, I am a great procrastinator.   After pin-basting the quilt Saturday afternoon, I dilly-dallied about starting to quilt on Sunday and decided to make another zipper bag!

This lovely hydrangea fabric was given to me by a friend who reads my blog but never comments.   (Hi, Deborah!  *waving*)

Okay, Deborah comments about my blog posts in person...  just not online...

Even after making another zipper bag, I still didn't want to start quilting the monster quilt currently residing on the dining room table.

....and I really did get it all pinned!

  1. It's pinned--that is the hardest part (at least to me)!! What are you waiting for?!? Just giving you a hard time! : )
That is a lovely hydrangea bag!

  2. I love the hydrangea fabric, Freda. It's made up into a beautiful pouch. I don't blame you for not wanting to make a start to the quilt but, on the other hand, it's not going to get quilted if you don't make that first stitch. I know because I have a quilt pinned and ready for that first stitch. Mind you, mine is only 48" square. :o)

  3. Love the bag! First steps.....needle down is the only way to get it done. First large ....done expect perfection, but you will be so much better when it is done. Remember to bunch and scrunch the bulk :)

  4. That hydrangea fabric is amazing and you did it justice by making it into such a lovely bag. I won't get into procrastination--lets just say that I'm guilty, guilty, guilty!

  6. It's so cute! I LOVE all your little zipper bags.
I feel your pain as I do the same thing after I pin baste my big quilts. I'd rather do most anything than start quilting those monsters. It's fine once I get started. I try to leave a big part of a week to concentrate on them so I can quilt a bit and walk away at intervals to rest my shoulders and neck muscles.

  7. This is my favorite zippered bag yet. I love that hydrangea fabric! And at least the quilt is pinned. That was my least favorite part of quilting so I started hand basting my quilts.
