I was able to finish up the quilting on the table runner and find a complimentary binding fabric in the stash as well.
I used one of the embroidery stitches on my machine to sew down the binding for a different look. I had used this stitch a lot back when I was making a bunch of mug rugs...
Everything for this project came from stash and the batting was pieced from remnants. I must say my FMQ-ing is improving with each project.
I love walking through the dining room and seeing all the pretties... and now, there is a new runner that sets off the glassware so much more nicely!
Love it Freda.........
ReplyDeleteI really like the binding......!!
This is so pretty and I love the way you finished the binding. You did good!
ReplyDeleteVery nice table runner Freda! I am always drawn to a great pinwheel block:) Such beautifully executed binding as well.
ReplyDeleteI love your table runner. Great job quilting it. Hugs
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Freda! What a lovely display background this makes for the pretty glassware. Should bring a smile each time you pass.
ReplyDeleteI like that stitch on your binding!
Of course, your quilting is improving. All those annoying people that told me to "practice, practice, practice" were absolutely right!! (But don't tell them I said so.)
Those blocks worked up so nicely. They give your glass such wonderful colors to reflect. Thanks also for the link for the how too. I had it last month and couldn't find it last week. I really need to admit that I need to write things down.
ReplyDeleteIT's BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteFreda, it's beyond beautiful. Well done! I had a go at one of those blocks this morning. It was a fun block to make! :o)
ReplyDeleteFreda, it is just perfect!!! Way to go!! Love that glass ware, too!!
ReplyDeleteLove your runner! (as all your projects)!
ReplyDeleteHugs
I admire you for the FMQ - the piece turned out to be lovely.
