I liked the eagle fabric so much, I fussy cut it to have an eagle on each of the large blades...
...I think it was worth the effort!

In other news..
Because I'm off work this month and because I got an email inviting me to join in and just because I can, I've joined a BOW QAL over on Quilter's Gallery that will run thru October this year.
All the fabrics are coming from stash... yea! However, I may need 4-6 more FQs depending on how frugal I am cutting out the 16 FQs I am using.
Here are the first two blocks... first, last week's block...

All batiks with a Moda Bella solid in a sage-green for the sashing. My youngest nephew graduated from HS in June and, for the life of me, I couldn't think of anything that would suit him. My creative mojo was on empty... so this quilt will be for him!
