After six (out of 9) UFO finishes, start-itis came bounding around the corner, demanding that a new project be started. I think I did well to get that many UFOs off my list before this hit... so I did a little stash shopping and came up with a project that is manageable while I continue to work on UFOs as well.
Yup... a holiday throw-size quilt with very large blocks... I can make one per evening and still be done with the block in two weeks...
I'm using a Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorial...
Should be fun!
That will be a nice little quilt. How do all of the seams come together in the middle? I have hesitated to make this block because I thought the center would be a big lump from all the converging fabrics.
ReplyDeleteAnd I haven't found a remedy for that title disease myself! Enjoyed watching this tut again, and the quilt is a beauty. Look at you, pulling out holiday fabric! Pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou deserve it to have the start-itis Freda ;o)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing how you tackle those windmilly things. I'm sure they'll look fab in Christmassy fabrics. :o)
ReplyDeleteI must go and investigate what size a "turnover triangle" is to see if I can work out how to make the windmilly things.
Yea for new projects! Yea for finishing projects!
ReplyDeleteShould look great Freda!
ReplyDeleteEven if I started a christmas project on the 1st of January I wouldn't get it finished for christmas.
But I'm quite sure you will......lol.
I have a love/hate relationship with startitis. It's hard for me to resist. I am loving that block. I may have to give in...
ReplyDeleteHooray for Christmas blocks!
ReplyDeleteI watched the video, it looks like fun. Are you using precut turnovers or cutting your own?
ReplyDeleteI have 3 projects I would like to finish before I let my startitis take over. 6 out 9 UFO's done? You deserve to start a project or 2.
ReplyDeleteIt will be beautiful. I love the black background on the video.
ReplyDeleteNow that I am between quilts I need to catch up on my BOM!
That looks like an easy block that will turn out to be really pretty.

ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a quilt! I like that block. I need to plan something for my sister and that could be a useful block.
