I've finished the quilting on the red quilt and do like how it turned out. There were such strong vertical and horizontal lines, I went with diagonal quilting.
Even on the backing, the diagonal lines "work"...
Next, I will get the binding sewn on. "And what, pray tell, did you select for the binding fabric?" you ask.
Nothing dull and boring for me! Back to the machine...

ReplyDeleteDiagonal lines work great against these blocks. How do you mark your lines? They look very precise! But then, the Empress would settle for nothing less! : )
ReplyDeleteI misread that first sentence as "did NOT like". I was thinking to myself-well at least *I* don't have to rip out seams. I like the diagonal seams on the back. And that binding is fantastic!
