All that pondering and all the great suggestions and we have a third round of auditions.
I like the dark blue with the lighter blocks and prefer the shirting stripe with the darker blocks. So... a compromise...
All the pondering left me too tired to sew so I popped in a movie, held down the sofa, and knitted for a while...

Have you signed up for the FNSI yet?
Plenty of time and remember... there will be TWO FNSIs this
month! Are you done with your Christmas sewing yet?
Yes, this is the ticket! It looks wonderful and so defined. Just thinking too about how the border fabric with is rich blue will look with the alternating blue sashing. Third time's the charm!
ReplyDeleteOhh I want to learn to knit!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI like your new sashing idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat compromise....I like this setting and think it will work wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI vote all blue.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could knit like you. My stitches are not consistent.
Thank you for showing all of your sashing ideas. It helps me get thinking about how to finish mine. I like the blue!
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice look. Never would have thought of it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you could hold the sofa down for an evening. It is so annoying when they start floating! : )
That's a good compromise.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you knitting and what a great patern....
Greetings, Roos
Yes! Yes! That's it! I really love this "compromise". Do you have enough blocks to alternate them?
ReplyDeleteWow the blue really sets the blocks of so well. Happy knitting.

Ok, so I'm really late to the party!! LOL!!! Geesh, a couple of days away from the computer and look at all I missed!!! WOW!!! You have a lot of beautiful choices!! I do like the compromise of the shirting and the blue. How does is look with the border fabric? You can't go wrong with any of the choices. I loved them all except the just the blue was my favorite. Not sure why but I love it! Keep us posted!!
ReplyDeleteVery late to chime in but I really liked the 'Air Force' blue in the other post!
ReplyDeleteI, too, sat down with a skein of yarn just last night, but I weilded the mighty crochet hook. And threw it all back in the basket after an hour of trying to remind myself how to do a simple chain. Egads. Yarn and I just don't get along! Yours is lovely!
