Cleared the dining room table for auditions...
...and laid out the blocks on the tan shirting fabric, adding square of the dark blue.
Next, added the border fabric...
Not sure about the dark blue cornerstones yet but I do like cornerstones... and I'm thinking about adding a narrow inside border in a solid cream.
Looking good, Freda.
ReplyDeleteI like it very much. I love cornerstones too, they add some interest in a quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love it as well.
ReplyDeleteAnd it does look great with the blue cornerstones.
If you use the fabric that you have for the border, the blue cornerstone fabric will pick up the blue in it.
You have chosen some nice fabric.
On my monitor the cornerstones look good. Are you thinking the sashing stripe will go with the length of each sashing strip or across? I like that fabric choice... actually I like all the choices you made!
ReplyDeleteI like the direction you're going here. Thanks for sharing your designing process. It's fun!!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, la la!!! Looking good! I think I'm going to do sashing and cornerstones also and yours is lovely. The border fabric is divine!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Your blocks are beautiful and I love the sashing fabric. The blue corner stones make the quilt. You are so talented. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThis is looking GORGEOUS! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI really like the cornerstones. The blue works for me, but have you thought of trying the cream as cornerstones? It would be interesting to see the difference. Have you considered a very narrow blue inner border that would tie to the blue cornerstones? One of my problems is that I like to consider all the possibilities. It certainly slows down the finishing process. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I love the border you chose. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteI think the border fabric is great and I like the cornerstones too!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue cornerstones and the sashing, as others have said the blue in the border fabric will pick up the blue in the cornerstones. (although I'm biased, I love blue, lol)
ReplyDeleteI too like the cornerstones. I especially like that border fabric.
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I like the blue cornerstones.
ReplyDeleteI like that audition!!! Great job. I do like the blue cornerstones too.
ReplyDeleteIt looks good Freda and I like the blue cornerstones.
ReplyDeleteI really like this combination. The blue cornerstones add a lot of interest.
