I chose this day for the give-away drawing because it would have been my parents 63rd wedding anniversary.
Mom made her wedding dress and taught me to sew. She even let me use her sewing machine all by myself long before my 10th birthday.
Congratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteYour mother was a beautiful bride and your father a handsome groom. They were so young and happy, a good looking couple :)
ReplyDeleteOh. I'm so happy to have won some of the beautiful fabric in the give-away honoring your parents wedding anniversary! Yes! I plan to make pocket book :) I've never made one but it has been a personal goal to give it a try. This fabric will be perfect. Thank you!!!! I am doing a Happy Dance this morning :D
How lovely.gorgeous wedding dress.I think it's so important for us to teach childern how to sew. Congratulation to all the winners!!!
ReplyDeleteOn my first visit to your blog I saw this beautiful picture of your parents. I thought it must have been the same year I was married (1952) because the dress was so similar in style to mine, but I think it was because I borrowed a dress from my future sister-in-law who was married around the time your parents were. It's a treasure to have that picture of your parents.
