Both fabrics are very pretty. If you want the binding just to blend and not be noticed, then I'd pick the dusty green. If you want the binding to be more of a feature then the dark blue would certainly be that.
It looks really good. you are a quilting machine! I always have a hard time choosing binding, so I'm no help. They all look good to me.
Wish I had that much to show for the weekend. I'm in a quilting freeze or something. Just can't get in there a do anything, even though I want to and think about it when I'm at work.
I also try to go with the darker color when I have a choice. It acts as a frame to set the other colors off. You won't go wrong, though, with any of them. You could also piece them all together and have a multi-color binding!
I like the dark blue, too - seems to make things pop - but it is always hard to tell from a photo. Which one works with the backing, too? Sometimes that makes my choice for me.
I'm voting for the blue too but that's my favorite color... I just bought the tumbler die for my Go cutter. I restrained myself for awhile but once I saw how great your quilt was turning out, all my restraint flew out the window. Good job on the quilting too, the back looks great!
Love your tumbler quilt! The backing is awesome too. I read your post about using charm squares vs. size, etc. It sure does seem a lot more expensive to make them with charm squares & not use most of it. I made 2 tumbler quilts and used charm squares for some of it because it was a charm quilt. One was a wall hanging and one a table topper for my coffee table. I saved the excess pieces to use in doll quilts. I still have some of the pieces left, so someday I will make them into something.
I love the dusty green, but I think the dark blue will make the quilt colors pop. It is a beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI've always gone with the darker colors for bindings...so my vote is the darker blue...but, I'm NO expert, not even close! =D

Looks great! I think the dark blue would make a nice binding and go well with the fabrics in your quilt.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Freda, I would go for the dark bleu. i think that it does more fore the colors you usedin the quilt, like Miki Willa said...

ReplyDeleteEither way, it's going to be a lovely quilt.

Have a great day at work.
Love the quilt! I think the darker blue would make the best binding and make the colors really shine in your quilt :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! Any binding color will work with this one. Pick your favorite color and go with it!

ReplyDeleteBlue, definately the blue! Love how this came out.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous! I'd go with the dark blue because I think it will make a nice frame, but also because I like the way it looks with the back.
ReplyDeleteTry using a little bit of each fabric for the binding. A scrappy binding for a scrappy quilt. It turned out so beautiful. Nice job. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI'm late to the party, but my choice would be the far upper right swatch...the tan. Seems it would set off the back nicely as well.
ReplyDeleteOh, and the quilt is amazing! You're way ahead of schedule.
ReplyDeleteI like them both - but would probably go with the blue - because I think blue goes with everything!
ReplyDeleteI like the dark blue.
ReplyDeleteReally nice quilt. Now I KNOW I have to make one. I have just the scrap box for it!
